Linjee (To-Uthai) Franklin 73, of Franklin, died peacefully, at her home, with family at her side, Wednesday July 18, 2018 following a brief illness. She was the beloved wife of Vincent B. Franklin (Linjee's "Ben"), with whom she shared 45 years of marriage.
Born April 16, 1945 in Manorom, Thailand, a daughter of the late Sawat and Lumyai To-Uthai, she was a resident of Franklin since 1973.
Linjee was raised and educated in Thailand and worked as a nurse at a Christians Missionary Hospital in Thailand. Later she worked at Takhli Royal Thai Air Force Base for the United States Air Force, where she met Ben and fell in love, they were married May 21, 1973. Following her move to Franklin, she worked for Whiting and Davis Co. and Boston Scientific.
Linjee was devoted to her husband and children; she enjoyed gardening, cooking Thai food, day trips to Cape Cod and vacationing in Bar Harbor, Maine.
In addition to her husband she is survived by her children, Cholada Thongpul of Thailand, James Thongpul and his wife Maria of Milford and Jennifer Franklin and her husband Ivan Fernandez of Cambridge, 3 brothers, 3 sisters, a sister in law Nancy Olson. Also surviving are her cherished grandchildren Kayla & Tyler Thongpul and a special thanks to W.R & C.B.
Linjee's interment services will take place in her native Thailand.
