Ellen T. “Reesie” (Gillis) Catino, age 77, of West Bridgewater, formerly of Medford, died July 15, 2018 at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. Ellen was the wife of the late Louie A. Catino. Born in Boston, she was the daughter of the late William A. and Florence M. Gillis. Ellen was raised in Somerville and was a graduate of St. Joseph’s High School. She had been employed by Cambridge Gas Company, Thrifty Car Rental and retired as a Financial Advisor from Wheelock College. She was a fun loving and kind aunt to her nieces and nephews. She enjoyed playing cards, traveling to Las Vegas and visiting family members in PEI, Canada.
Ellen is survived by a sister Clare Roberts and her husband Jack of Hampton Beach, NH and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Allan, William and Urban Gillis and Mary Sullivan.
Visitation will be held in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton, Monday, July 30, from 9-10am. A funeral mass will be held in St. Ann’s Church, West Bridgewater at 10:30am followed by burial in the Massachusetts National Cemetery.
