Edward A. Carter, 73, of Medfield, died Friday, June 29, 2018 at Norwood Hospital. He was the beloved husband Carol A. (Skubby) Carter since 1968, the loving father of John E. A. Carter of Medfield and was predeceased by his brother, Phil Carter.
Mr. Carter was born in Meriden, Connecticut on March 1, 1945 and was the son of the late Alexander and Bertha (Cole) Carter.
He was a graduate of Lyman Hall High School in Wallingford, Connecticut and earned his Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees from Boston University and his Doctorate from Harvard University.
He worked as a research biochemist at Massachusetts General Hospital for many years.
Mr. Carter liked reading, especially science fiction and was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Connecticut.
His funeral services will be held privately at the request of his family and are under the care of the Ginley Funeral Home, 892 Main St. in Walpole (www.ginleyfuneralhomes.com).
