TEWKSBURY - Henry E. Doucette, 70, a Vietnam Era Veteran, died unexpectedly at his Carnation Drive residence on Tuesday, July 17, after a long history of medical issues.
He was born in Lowell in February 1948, a son of the late Bernard Doucette and Laura (Bradley)(Doucette) Pentz, and raised in Tewksbury, lived in Mesa, Arizona and Chester, Montana, before returning to Tewksbury in 2016.
When in better health, he owned an upholstery shop in Tewksbury.
He served in the U.S.M.C. during the Vietnam War Era.
He leaves three children, Charles Doucette of Westford, Debra Doucette and her partner Vincent Young of CA, Thomas Doucette of MT; five grandchildren; three great grandchildren; two brothers, Eugene J. Doucette of TX, Lawrence J. Doucette of Tewksbury; two sisters, Laura M. Doucette of Tewksbury, Roberta T. Kondry and her husband Brian of Danville, NH; a sister-in-law, Jacqueline Doucette of Tewksbury; a brother-in-law, Robert Pondelli of Tewksbury; many nieces and nephews; and was predeceased by his brother Bernard “Buddy” Doucette; and sister, Donna M. Pondelli.
A Celebration of Henry’s Life will be held Friday, July 27, from 1:00 until 4:00 p.m. in the Tewksbury K of C Hall, 2068 Main St. (Rte. 38) Tewksbury. Arrangements were through the Tewksbury Funeral Home.
