Frank M. Spinale, of Medford, formerly of Cambridge died on Sunday, July 15th. Born and raised in Boston's West End he was the son of the late Domenic and Mary (LaPorta) Spinale.
Frank was an old movie fanatic; he enjoyed all the classics. An avid sports fan he loved football and the Boston Red Sox. He enjoyed spending time at the Suffolk Downs Horse Track.
Frank's passion was being a grandfather. He was his grandchildrens' biggest fan cheering them on from the sidelines of all their sports games, with his loving wife Sarah by his side. He loved spending time with each and every one of them.
Frank was the beloved husband of Sarah (Totino) Spinale, for over 40 years. The devoted father of Nancy Filocamo and her husband Gary, John Spinale and his wife Joanne, Sandra Spinale, Joanna Spinale Galante, Joyce Gardiner and her husband William, John Janus and his wife Renata and the late Michael Spinale. Loving grandfather of Gary, Katie, Kimberly, Matthew, John, Anthony, William, Jared, Jenni, Jessica, Peter and the late Anthony Filocamo. Loving great-grandfather of Rita Filocamo. Dear brother of Patricia "Mela" Capello, Domenic "Dany" Spinale, and the late Josephine Gallant and her surviving husband Raymond, Joseph, Salvatore and his surviving wife Anna, Anthony and his surviving wife, Jeannie and Angelina Spinale. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be celebrated in the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main Street, Medford, on Friday, July 20th at 11 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend and may visit with the family from 9 – 11 AM. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
