The world has lost a kind, loving, and generous man. Richard L. Dustin, 64, of Auburn, NH, died Sunday, July 15, 2018 after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born in Stanstead, Quebec on October 8, 1953, a son of Lionel Dustin and Yolande (Fauteux) Phelps. Richard had a passion for boating, especially on Lake Norman in North Carolina, where he eventually hoped to move. He was a talented carpenter and drywaller. He loved golf, good food, and playing pool with friends. Most of all, Richard was a caring person who was always willing to lend a hand or encouragement when it was needed. Richard was well loved and will be deeply missed.
He is survived by his wife Jean Hartsell; two daughters and their spouses, Jennifer and Erik Rossetti, Tracy and Rick Dustin-Eichler; mother and step-father, Yolande and Donald Phelps, three sisters and their spouses or significant others, Sue and Brett Krochmal, Johanne Holmes and Kevin Long, and Sylvia Dustin and Nick Podesta; three brothers and their spouses or significant others, Monty Dustin and Jana Milton, Daniel and Hollie Dustin and Robert Phelps; two granddaughters, Danielle Rossetti and Madeline Dustin-Eichler; two grandsons, Brody Rossetti and Isaac Dustin-Eichler; many nieces, nephews, cousins and his beloved dog, Baily Dustin.
Calling hours were held on Saturday, July 28, 2018 from 1pm to 2:30pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes & Crematorium, 290 Mammoth Rd., Londonderry, NH. Funeral services followed at 2:30 pm in the funeral home.
