FALL RIVER – Maria A. (Correia) Cordeiro, age 73 of Fall River, passed away on Monday, July 16, 2018 at home with her loving family by her side. Born in Arrifes, São Miguel, Açores, she was the daughter of the late Francisco & Deolinda (Almeida) Correia and the wife of Fortunato Cordeiro. Prior to retiring, Maria worked as a Housekeeper at Sarah Brayton Nursing Care Center, and previously as an Inspector for Darwood Mfg. She was a parishioner of Santo Christo Church and loved spending quality time with her family.
She is survived by her children: Gilbert, Silverio, John (wife Ilda), Jose (wife Jennifer), Michael & Octavio Cordeiro, Maria Hargraves, and the late Dahlia Franco; her 3 sisters: Rose Medeiros, Natalie Camara, & Connie Raposa; 10 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; and several nieces & nephews.
Her funeral will take place from the Manuel Rogers & Sons Funeral Home, Inc. 1521 N. Main St. Fall River on Thursday, here at 8:00 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in Santo Christo Church at 9:00 A.M. Interment in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Fall River. Calling hours on Wednesday from 5-8 P.M.
