Robert Thomas Ross, Jr. of Lewiston, Maine died on Saturday, July 14, at St. Mary D'Youville Pavilion. Born and raised in Medford, he was the son of the late Robert T. and Mary (Fenno) Ross. Robert proudly served in the Marine Corps, after which he was employed as an Inspector for the Navy.
Robert was the beloved husband of Diane (Posey) Ross, and the devoted father of Robert T. Ross III and his wife Jennifer of Canton, Stephen Ross of Auburn, Maine and Krista Pastore of Washington State. He was the step-father of Michael Posey of Winthrop, Maine and Wendy Posey Gunther and her husband Chris of Washington State, and the loving grandfather of Emily, James, Katherine and Lily Ross, Gabe, Bella and Liam Pastore, and Zoey and Sadie Gunther. Robert was the dear brother of Ruthann Foskitt and her husband Richard of Falmouth, Mary Jane Ross of Needham, Paula Balboni and her husband Serse of Lakeville, Joan Marley and her husband Richard of Woburn, and the late Larry D. Ross.
Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford on Thursday, July 19 at 10:30 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Francis Of Assisi Church, 441 Fellsway West, Medford, at 11:30 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Wednesday, July 18 from 4 through 8 PM. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
