Nancy Ann (Vaughan) Day passed away peacefully of natural causes on Wednesday July 4, 2018. She was the youngest child of the late Emma (Thorne) Vaughan and James Edwin Vaughan of Westport, Massachusetts.
Nancy is survived by her three children: Alison Louise (Wolcott) Morris and Daniel Edward Richard, both of New Bedford, and David Paul Heyes of Lunenberg, Vermont. Nancy has several grandchildren: Aneshia, Anthony and Abishai Savino; Justin, Kyra and Linda Richard; as well as Justin Paul Heyes.
Nancy was a long-term resident of The Tremont Skilled Nursing and Rehab Facility of Wareham, Massachusetts. She enjoyed music, dancing and coloring, as well as getting together with other residents to celebrate holidays and special occasions. Nancy also had a special place in her heart for all animals. The family would like to thank the staff at The Tremont for the care and compassion given to Nancy over the many years she resided there.
A private family memorial will be held. In lieu of flowers please consider making a donation to The Tremont Skilled Nursing & Rehabilitation Facility in Wareham, MA Activities Department or to a local animal shelter. Arrangements are by the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford.
