Kathryn E. (Sargent) Sliney, age 70, of Plymouth, died peacefully July 10, 2018 following a period of failing health. Kathryn was the wife of the late David J. Sliney. Born and raised in Whitman, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Lillian (Packard) Sargent. She was a graduate of Whitman Hanson High School, and for over 20 years she worked as a dispatcher and special needs bus driver for local transportation companies. She was strong willed and had a big heart, especially for her grandchildren and great grandchildren. For many years she was a volunteer for St. Colman’s Bingo. She also enjoyed country music concerts and dancing.
Kathryn is survived by her children Charles and his wife Kim of Plymouth, Scott and his wife Jill of Norton and Kerri-Ann and her fiancé Jeffrey of Whitman; nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Carol Minor, Charlene Hadaway-Heath and Robert Sargent.
Visitation will be held in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton, Saturday, July 21, 1-4pm. Donations in Kathryn’s name may be made to Beacon Hospice, 32 Resnick Rd., Ste 3, Plymouth, MA 02360.
