Lenora A. (Piver) Chapman, 80, of Wyassup Road, took her final rest on July 11, 2018. She was the beloved wife of Edsel Chapman for 59 years, as well as a loving Mother and devoted Grandmother.
She was born on May 27, 1938 in Brooklyn, New York. She was a graduate of Robert E. Fitch Senior High School. On August 15, 1959, Lenora married Edsel Chapman in Ledyard and they moved to Wyassup Lake, where they would remain through their entire marriage. Though Lenora worked several jobs over the years, her greatest role was that of Mother and Grandmother. She also enjoyed her daily trips to Cracker Barrel for breakfast with her husband.
In addition to her loving husband, she is survived by her son Steven Chapman. She also leaves behind her grandchildren, Amanda and Nathan Ulch, Marissa Chapman, Jordan Chapman and one great grandson, Jayce Chapman.
Lenora will be remembered for her kindness and quick wit.
Friends and family are invited to attend a graveside service on Monday, July 16, at 10:30am at Pendleton Hill Cemetery, located behind the First Baptist Church of North Stonington, 793 Pendleton Hill Road (corner of Wyassup Road and Pendleton Hill Road) in North Stonington.
