Dorothy Jeanne (Douglas) Brinkman, 88, of Falmouth, died peacefully on Wednesday, July 11, 2018 at her home. She was the beloved wife of Donald H. Brinkman who died in 2007.
Born in Milford on July 25, 1929, she was the daughter of the late John and Florence (Metcalf) Douglas.
Jeanne grew up in Medway and graduated from Medway High School in 1947. She resided in Medway until moving to Lillian, Alabama in 1999 and then to Falmouth 5 years ago.
Before her retirement, she worked as a nurse’s aide at Leonard Morse Hospital in Natick for 20 years.
She is survived by her son, Donald Brinkman of Venice, Florida and three daughters, Linda Stonionis and her husband Vito of Falmouth, Shirley Kochansky and her husband Rick of Wells, Maine and Valerie Bauser of Jaffrey, New Hampshire. She was predeceased by two sons, Paul and Kenneth Brinkman.
She is also survived by 6 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren and her brother William Douglas and his wife Kathy of Carver.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Monday, July 16 from 1 - 3 p.m. in the Ginley Crowley Funeral Home, 3 Barber St. in Medway followed by a funeral service at 3 p.m. in the funeral home. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Medway.
