New Bedford – Almena Lawrence, age 97, passed away on July 7, 2018 at St. Luke’s Hospital. Born in Provincetown, Ma, she was the wife of the late Lester Lawrence and daughter of the late Irene (Sousa) and Christiano Gomes.
Almena worked as a stitcher at Bonney Sportswear pusher for Chamberlain and an office clerk for Rodney Metals. She enjoyed reading, going out to eat, and was dedicated to the well-being of her daughter Patricia.
She was predeceased by her husband Lester, her daughter Patricia Ann Lanczycki who passed away on May 31, 2018.
Her graveside service will be held at St Johns Cemetery at 11:45 A.M. on Thursday July 12, 2018.
