Obituary

John M. Torchio, age 58 of West Bridgewater, formerly of Brockton, died unexpectedly, Monday, July 2, 2018. Born in Cambridge, he was the son of John A. Torchio (Diane) and Elaine (Garside) Sedani (Robert). He was raised in Watertown and Brockton, attended East Jr. High School and graduated from Brockton High School in 1978. Following graduation he served in the US Army. John had been employed in the commercial painting industry restoring and painting historical buildings. He was devoted to his family, especially his children and grandchildren. John was a NASCAR racing enthusiast and also enjoyed camping, fishing, cookouts and his daily walks through D.W. Fields Park.

John was the devoted father of Kimberly Parker (Nate) of Yorktown, VA, Anthony Torchio (Stefanie Harris) of Evans, CO, Stefanie Torchio (Derek Vazquez) of Evans, CO and Crystal Bousalis (Alex) of New York; grandfather of Isaiah and Laila, Nate, Jr. and Tristan, Anthony Jr. and Ivy Pearl and Basil Enzo; brother of Debra Pagan (Joe) of Franklin, VA, Donna Torchio (Patrick Olli) of Suffolk, VA, Steven Torchio (Janelle) of Durham, NC and Johanna Torchio (Rich Mohammed) of Avon. He is also survived by his former wife Kelle Torchio and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visiting Hours will be held in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton, Saturday, July 14, from 11am-2pm, followed by a funeral service at 2pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in John’s name to the Boys and Girls Club of Brockton, 233 Warren Avenue, Brockton, MA 02301.
