Lisa Anne Cushing

SANFORD- Lisa A. Cushing, age 59, of Sanford, passed away on July 7, 2018.
A dear mother and friend, Lisa left the world decades too soon after losing a five year battle with cancer. She had an unshakable love for her family, and spent most of her life at home working hard to raise it the best that she could. She loved gardening and the outdoors, cooking and baking, crafts, sewing, and all sorts of animals (in particular, large wild cats and wolves).
Lisa was always making an active effort to put herself last. She made sure everyone else was taken care of, and happy if possible, before she would do something for herself, right up through years of chemotherapy and treatments. Her selfless acts made an impression on most everyone that had the privilege of knowing her.
Born Lisa Blanchard, she grew up in South Portland and attended school there. In summer of ‘79, she wed Edward Cushing, and together they lived in South Berwick for many years. She is predeceased by her father (Frank), mother (Marjorie), a sister, and her husband. She is survived by her children (Kemuel, Janna, Charity, and Abigail) grandchildren (Kemuel and Jamee), siblings (Susan and Steven), and everyone whom she met and made an impact on during her almost sixty years of caring.
For friends and family wishing to attend or pay respects, there will be a service held at Curtis Lake Church in Sanford at 11 on Saturday the 28th, with a separate get together following. "
