Jason Adam Ward, 44, of Norwich, passed away on Friday, July 6, 2018, surrounded by family. Jason was born on May 28, 1974, in Groton, CT, to Terry and Deborah (Brooks) Ward.
Jason graduated from Ledyard High School in 1992, proud of having played football and winning a state championship. He spent a brief time in Memphis before moving home to settle in CT. He worked as a Union Pipefitter, for Local 777, for 14 years. Jason spent many a night line dancing with his brother and friends. He enjoyed fishing, camping, Nascar and was an avid Miami Dolphins, and Dan Marino, fan. One of his favorite things to do was to cook with his sons. Jason loved Christmas and spending time with his sons and family.
In addition to his parents, Jason is survived by his sons Dominick and Dillon, his brother, Jamie and Trisha Ward of Bozrah and his sister, Jonell Ward and Skip Daniels of New Bedford, MA, along with five nieces and nephews and a large extended family.
Jason was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Arthur, Maude and Jessalyn Brooks of Mystic, CT, paternal grandparents Roger and Jean Ward of Creswell, NC.
Jason’s family will receive family and friends from 6 pm - 8 pm on Tuesday, July 10, 2018 at the Dinoto Funeral Home, 17 Pearl St., Mystic, CT. A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, July 11, at 5:00pm at Potter's House Church of God, 500 Sandy Hollow Road, Mystic, CT. Burial will be private and at the discretion of the family.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, Connecticut Chapter, 659 Tower Avenue, Hartford, Connecticut, 06112, a charity close to his heart in honor of his brother.
