Stephanie Rene Davis
STANDISH- Stephanie was born in Portland Maine on April 5, 1947 and passed away on July 3, 2018. Her parents were Hayden and Elizabeth Davis.
Stephanie was raised in South Portland, Maine and went to South Portland schools for her elementary school experience while graduating from Fryeburg Academy in 1965. Stephanie went on to graduate from the University of Maine in Orono.
Stephanie had a long career with New England Telephone Company in Portland and commuted from her beloved home on Sebago Lake in Standish where she lived her life.
While living in Standish she cultivated many friends. Some of whom were Marie and Gerald Trudell, Brenda and Chester Seal, Christina and Ronald Hanscom, Brandy and Jason Alfiero, Pastor Robert White, and the parishioners of the Gorham Grace Bible Church.
Stephanie is survived by her brother Donn S. Davis (Denise) as well as nieces Michele (Jason) Beaulieu and Dawn (Scott) Collard. Stephanie was fond of carting Michele around in one of her several VWs when Michele was a child.
Stephanie was predeceased by her brother, Stephen T. Davis. She is also survived by her sister-in-law Patricia Davis, and niece Katherine Davis. She was particularly close to her special nephew Michael Davis and his daughters Madeline, Shayna, and Alexandra. Stephanie and Madeline would spend hours watching video of Maddie’s equestrian shows and competitions together and share horse and dog photos via email and text.
Stephanie enjoyed her animal friends and took loving care of her brood of horses, dogs and cats throughout her life. She took great joy from her furry friends and loved to have local children come ride her horses and swim in the lake.
A service for Stephanie will be held at the Grace Bible Church, 74 Deering Rd. Gorham, ME, 04038 on July 10th at 1:00 PM.
