Fidel Monroy, 63, of Worcester died on July 2, 2018 in UMASS-Memorial Medical Center – University Campus.
He leaves his wife Angela Martinez de Monroy, his children, David Monroy and Maria Monroy of Worcester; Stephanie Monroy, Johnny Monroy and Jonathan Monroy of California, four grandchildren, brothers and sisters including Ana Monroy of El Salvador and many nieces and nephews. Fidel was born in Nejapa, El Salvador the son of the late Secundino Monroy Mendoza and Tiburcia Cabrera de Monroy. Fidel has lived in Worcester for 34 years.
Mr. Monroy was the primary delivery driver for more than 22 years for Road Runner Pizza. Mr. Monroy was an avid reader who was wise beyond his years and was the go to guy for advice. He was an amazing storyteller who loved life and laughter. He was a member of Iglesia Catolica San Pedro - St. Peter’s Church.
Calling hours in DIRSA-MORIN FUNERAL HOME, 298 Grafton Street are Wednesday July 11, 2018 from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Burial will be El Salvador.
