BUXTON- Janet C. Brown Johnson, age 66, passed away with loved ones at her side at the Gosnell Memorial Hospice House after a long illness on July 5, 2018.
She was born on June 26, 1952 in Manhattan, NYC, the youngest daughter of the late Charles and Vera Brown.
Janet enjoyed life and anyone around her had no choice but to be happy – her presence was truly amazing. She loved vacations to Florida, Disney, beaches, and hot summer days with her husband Peter, daughter, as well as her family. She also enjoyed camping with her mom in Naples, going to Aquaboggan with her daughter Amanda, roller-skating and just laughing. She loved her convertible ‘72 Mustang and ’75 Camero, having the top down and her hair blowing in the wind.
She graduated from Deering High School in 1970. She was a hard worker and loved her job. At her most recent job with the Trough Heisler Law Firm, she loved being with her work family.
She married Peter Johnson in 1985 and have a daughter Amanda Johnson.
She is survived by her sisters Ida Tanguay and the late Philip Tanguay of Gorham, Isabel Cail and husband Paul of Naples; brother James Brown and wife Beverly of Scarborough; nieces and nephews Debbie “Debrat”, James, Cindy and her husband John Smith, Jeffrey, Mike and wife Janelle, Liz and husband Dan, Becky and husband Jason, and Dawn and husband Gregg; and several great nieces and nephews.
