Obituary

WORCESTER- Olive M. (Erickson) Tivnan, 88, formerly of 123 Grand View Avenue and 47 Burncoat Lane, Leicester, died Monday, November 21st in the Odd Fellows Home. Her husband Vincent J. Tivnan died in 1986. She leaves 5 sons; James M. Tivnan and Robert C. and his wife Barbara J. Tivnan all of Holden, Vincent J. Tivnan, Jr. and his wife Karen M. of Holliston, Michael J. and his fiancée Valerie G. Thompson of Leicester and Mark X. Tivnan of Worcester, a daughter; Kathleen M. wife of John T. Gagnon of Spencer, 15 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and a great great granddaughter. A son William V. Tivnan and a brother Charles Erickson predeceased her.

She was born in Worcester the daughter of Charles A. and Nellie T. (Conlin) Erickson and graduated from South High School in 1935. Mrs. Tivnan was a member of Our Lady of the Angels Church, the AARP and was a den mother for the Cub Scout Troop #49. She enjoyed traveling with the ladies from AARP and most of all the time spent at “The Camp” on Burncoat Pond with her family and friends.

The funeral is Wednesday, November 23rd, from O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME with a Mass at 9:30 AM in Our Lady of the Angels Church, 1222 Main Street. Burial will be in St. John’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to Our Lady of the Angels Church, 1222 Main Street, Worcester, MA 01603. Calling hours are Tuesday, November 22nd, from 5:00 until 9:00 PM in the funeral home.
