Bonnie Gale Hancock, 63, of Fitzgerald, Georgia, died Wednesday, July 4, 2018, at Dorminy Medical Center in Fitzgerald, Georgia.
Funeral services will be held, 2 PM, Saturday, July 7, 2018, at Eastside Holiness Baptist Church in Fitzgerald, with the Rev. Rob Merritt and the Rev. Kenneth Mathews officiating. Interment will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday evening, from 6 PM until 8 PM, at the funeral home in Fitzgerald.
Mrs. Hancock was born March 26, 1955, in Ocilla, Georgia, to the late Jack Nipper and Ada Harper Young. She lived in the community all of her life. She worked for the Ben Hill County Middle School as a bookkeeper. Mrs. Hancock was a member of Eastside Holiness Baptist Church.
She is survived by her two daughters: Tabitha Hancock of Fitzgerald and Toni Moore & Terry of Eastman; a son, Joseph William Hancock, Jr. “Jody” & Hannah of Nashville; grandchildren: James Michael & Jordan MacNamara, Joey MacNamara, Hunter Bennett and Annikah Hancock; a great-grandchild, Lyla MacNamara; two brothers: Larry Nipper & Nancy and Terry Nipper & Dianna and a sister, Pat Carelock & Larry. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph William Hancock, Sr.
