Nancy J. (Kern) Fawson, 71 of Salem, passed away peacefull, with her family by her side on Saturday, June 30, 2018 at Continuing Care at Brooksby Village following a courageous battle with cancer. She was the devoted wife of Preston C. Fawson, with whom she shared 48 years of marriage.
Born and raised in Salem, she was the daughter of the late Robert G. and Ann G. (Grady) Kern. Nancy was a graduate of Salem High and received her associate’s degree in business administration from North Shore Community College. For the past 23 years she has worked as the administrative assistant for the Levesque Funeral Home of Salem.
Nan was devoted to her family and home. She loved cooking, crafts, sewing and gardening. She loved tending her vegetables and her flowers…all except the lilies. She was quick witted and there was very little pretension about her. Nancy always had a home improvement project going on and many times several of them.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by their daughters, Anilisa McDonald and her wife Michelle O’Toole of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Lenity J. Eldagany of Salem, five grandchildren Melanie, Justine and David P. McDonald, Jr., Madison Suchecki and Zachary Eldagany, her aunt, Jane Russo of Searsmont, ME and her dear lifelong friends Bonnie & Dickie Latini of Beverly.
Relatives and friends are invited to her Funeral Service on Friday, July 6, 2018 at 10:30 AM in the Levesque Funeral Home, 163 Lafayette St. [Route 114 / 1-A] Salem to be followed by burial in Greenlawn Cemetery, Salem.
