Arthur T. McFadyen, 63, died unexpectedly at the Caritas Norwood Hospital in Norwood on Sunday, November 20. He was the husband of Helen (Corrigan) McFadyen and the late Ethel (Fisher) McFadyen. Born in Boston, he was raised in Jamaica Plain and a graduate of Boston Schools. Mr. McFadyen was the proprietor of Art’s Automobilia in Stoughton and formerly worked at St. Coletta’s School in Hanover and at the Charette Corp in Randolph. A loving husband, father and grandfather, he enjoyed spending time with his family.
In addition to his wife, Helen, he is survived by his children, Donna E. Prisco and Michael D. McFadyen both of Stoughton. He was the brother of Jeanne Rasch of Onset, David of Bourne and Louise Fuller of Foxboro. Mr. McFadyen was the loving grandfather of Stephen and Matthew Prisco and Melanie McFadyen. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews and in-laws.
Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St., (Rt 27) Stoughton, on Wednesday, November 23 at 10:30 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Gerard Majella Church, 1860 Washington St., Canton at 11:30 AM. Visiting Hours Tuesday from 4-8 PM. Donations in his memory may be made to American Heart Assn, 20 Speen St., Framingham, 01701 or to St. Vincent DePaul Society, 122 Canton St., Stoughton, 02072. Burial will follow at Knollwood Memorial Park, Canton.
