Laura (Comeau) Duffy, of Walpole and formerly of Foxboro and Belmont, died July 2, 2018. She was the wife of the late Robert E. Duffy.
Born in Belmont August 7, 1920, the daughter of the late Alphonse and Zoe (Saulnier) Comeau, Mrs. Duffy was a graduate of Belmont High School and Boston University.
Laura worked in the printing industry where she met her husband, Bob. They loved to play golf and played often when they summered in Nova Scotia.
She was the devoted mother of Edward Duffy and his wife Marjorie of Walpole, and Richard Duffy and his wife Linda of Keswick, Virginia.
She was the sister of the late Alfred, Ernest, Catherine and Edward Comeau.
She was the beloved grandmother of Kimberly Duffy of Walpole, E. Robert Duffy and his wife Lisa Ferri Duffy of Norfolk, Ashley Duffy Sowers and her husband Jeremy of Tampa, Florida, Kyle Duffy and his wife Alison of Baltimore, Maryland and Brittany Duffy Adkins and her husband Kyle of Purcellville, Virginia.
She was the great-grandmother of Jake and Harper Duffy of Norfolk, Brooklyn and Elizabeth Sowers of Tampa, Florida, and Normandie and Wright Adkins of Purcellville, VA.
She is also survived by her dear sister-in-law Jane Comeau of Chelmsford and many nieces and nephews.
Her funeral will be celebrated on Friday, July 6 from the Ginley Funeral Home 892 Main St., Walpole (www.ginleyfuneralhomes.com) at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral Mass in St. Mary’s Church, 176 Washington St., East Walpole at 10 a.m.
Burial will follow in Belmont Cemetery at 12:15 p.m.
Visiting hours will be on held on Thursday from 5:00-7:00 p.m.
