CHICOPEE – Loretta M. (Marcil) LeBlanc, 104, a longtime resident of Erline Street in the Willimansett section of Chicopee, was Called Safely Home on Sunday, July 1, 2018. She passed into Eternal Life at Wingate at South Hadley surrounded by all the memories she loved and cherished. She was born in Holyoke on January 17, 1914, a beloved daughter of the late Alderic and Albertine (Chartier) Marcil. She was raised in Holyoke and moved to Willimansett around 1936. She later lived at the Fairhaven Apartments and the Arbors, both in Chicopee. She was last employed at the former Totsy Manufacturing Company in Holyoke. She was a communicant of Saint Anne Church in Chicopee. She was predeceased by her beloved husband and best friend, Eugene LeBlanc who was Called Home on Christmas Day, December 25, 1969. They were married on June 20, 1936 at the former Immaculate Conception Church in Holyoke and were blessed with over 33 years of happiness together. She leaves her loving son and daughter-in-law, Roger E. LeBlanc and his wife, Patricia, of Chicopee; her two cherished granddaughters, Michelle L. LeBlanc of Chicopee and Tracy M. Lovasco and her husband, Christopher, of Beverly, MA; her two cherished great-granddaughters, Danielle and Rebecca Lovasco; her loving foster son, John Amlaw and his wife, Carol, and their family of Chicopee; and her many dear nephews and nieces. Besides her parents and husband, she was also predeceased by her dear brother, Rene Marcil. Her family will receive friends on Friday morning, July 6, 2018 from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the St. Pierre – Phaneuf Fairview Chapels, (413-533-3307), 506 Britton Street, Chicopee, MA 01020, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 1 p.m. at Saint Anne Church, 30 College Street, Chicopee, MA 01020.
