Obituary

Normand O. Marceau, 88, of Dartmouth, passed away on Friday, June 29, 2018 at The Oaks, New Bedford. He was the husband of the late Doris J. "Dot" (Leduc) Marceau with whom he had shared 52 years of marriage.

Mr. Marceau was born in Fall River, son of the late Ovila and Rhea (Harrison) Marceau and had resided in Dartmouth for most of his life. A veteran of the Korean Conflict, he served his country in the U.S. Army. Prior to his retirement, he worked as a milkman for Nelson Dairy Co., Fall River. Mr. Marceau was a recipient of the Marian Medal and a communicant of St. George Church, Westport. He was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Society and the Knights of Columbus Council 4373.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to The Oaks and Beacon Hospice for their dedicated care and compassion.

Survivors include his 4 daughters: Janice A. Levesque and her companion Winston Lyford of E. Freetown, Diane R. Marceau and her companion Michael Dumas of New Bedford, Pauline M. Turner and her husband John of New Bedford and Joanne C. Sylvia and her husband Donald of New Bedford; a brother: Albert Marceau of FL; sister: Rita Morin of Westport; 9 grandchildren: David, Trevor, Chantel, Harley, Axl, Andrew, Steven, Zachary and Rebecca; along with several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Funeral to which relatives and friends are invited will be Tuesday, July 3, 2018 from the Potter Funeral Home at 9 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. George Church, Westport at 10 A.M.

Calling hours will be Monday from 5-8 P.M.

Interment will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Fall River.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to your favorite charity.
