Obituary

Ann Elizabeth Madden, 45, of Derry, NH, passed away Thursday June 28, 2018 at her residence, surrounded by her loving family. Ann was born February 26, 1973 in Marlborough, MA, and was a daughter of Ellen (McGrail) and the late Robert Madden, Jr. Ann was raised and educated in Marlborough and was a graduate of Salem State University and received her master’s degree. Ann was very adventurous in her younger years and loved to travel and had lived in Hawaii, Las Vegas and Arizona, prior to settling down in Derry.

Ann had a lifelong passion for the underdog and underprivileged which led to the field of Social work. She worked for many years with the homeless population in Cambridge, MA, and later with at risk youth at Hampstead Hospital and most recently managed a group home for victims of brain injury. She was very involved in community fundraising events, loved gardening and swimming. She was very much a homebody who loved time with family and outing with her nieces and nephews.

In addition to her mother of Derry, members of the family include her loving partner of 14 years, Wendie Chabot of Derry, her sister and her husband Jean & David Packard of Chester, NH, Father and Mother-in-law, Rande & Linda Chabot of Derry, two Brothers-in-law, Heath& Lisa Chabot of Derry and Derrick & Amy Chabot of Chester, Sister-in-law, Kimberly Campbell of Higginsville, MO, six nieces, Jillian Packard, Kourtney Smith, Brianna Chabot, Victoria Chabot, Haley Townsend and Lexy Chabot, nephew, Hunter Campbell, and great nephew Mason Chabot and her two beloved dogs, snowflake and the late Snowball.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Monday July 2, 2018 at 10:00 am in St. Thomas Aquinas Church, 26 Crystal Avenue in Derry, NH. Burial followed at Forest Hill Cemetery in E. Derry.
