Obituary

Josephine M. (Asaro) Sullivan, lifelong resident of Medford, died Wednesday, June 27th. She was 85. Born in Boston, she was the daughter of the late Vincent and Phyllis (Puccia) Asaro.

Josephine enjoyed cooking for her family, especially making homemade sauce, lasagna and meatballs. She loved to go dancing with her loving husband Richard, of over 60 years; you could find them on any dance floor perfecting all the dance moves. Josephine loved to vacation in Naples, Florida during the winter months and at the family cottage in Sebago Lake in Maine during the summer.

Josephine loved playing and connecting with family and friends on the online game Words with Friends; an avid Face Book user she loved to keep in touch with everyone. She also enjoyed spending time with her loving cat's Misfit and Murphy.

Josephine was the beloved wife of Richard Sullivan. She was the devoted mother of Steven J. Alibrandi and his wife Deborah of Wakefield, and the late Richard Sullivan II.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend and may visit with the family on Saturday, June 30th from 9 - 11 AM. Services will conclude with burial at Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made in Josephine's name to the Saint Jude Research Foundation, 313 Washington Street #310, Newton, MA 02458.
