Deborah D. Tower, 73, of Snake Hill Road, Glocester, died Wednesday, June 27, 2018 at Greenville Skilled Nursing in Greenville. She was the widow of William A. Tower. They had been married for 48 years at the time of his death in October, 2017.
Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late George H. and Marion A. (Hotaling) Streeter. She had lived in Glocester for 49 years.
Deb had worked as an elementary school teacher in Smithfield before her marriage and later worked at Harmony Hill School for 31 years until retiring in 2015. She enjoyed crafting, her church and her grandchildren.
She is survived by her children: Michael Tower and Christine Meinertz and her husband, Gregory, her two grandchildren: Matthew and Abigail, all of Glocester, and her sister: Nancy Luke of Maine. She was the sister of the late John and Allen Davies.
Her funeral service will be held Saturday at 10am in St. Thomas Church, Rt 44, Greenville. Burial will be in Acote’s Hill Cemetery, Chepachet. Visitation Friday 4-7pm in the Anderson-Winfield Funeral Home, Rt 44 at Greenville Common, Greenville.
