Katherine "Katie" Marie (Poli) Tarani of North Andover, formerly of Medford, died on June 26 at Prescott House of North Andover. Born and raised in Boston's West End and Medford, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Josephine (Teresa) Poli.
Katie was the beloved wife of the late Nathan Phillip Tarani, Sr. and the devoted mother of Stephen Tarani of Arizona, Nathan Phillip Tarani Jr. of Cambridge, and Nadine LaRochelle and her husband Tom of Auburn, New Hampshire. She was the loving grandmother of Melissa Higgins and her husband Michael of Somerset, Ashley Capraro of Manchester, New Hampshire, and Andrew Capraro of Weare, New Hampshire, and the loving great grandmother of Gracie and Sophia Higgins. Katie was the sister of the late Rose, Johnny, Vinnie and Connie, and is survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford on Saturday, June 30 at 9 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Clement Church, 71 Warner St., Medford, at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford. Visiting hours Friday, June 29, from 4 through 8 pm.
