DONOHUE, John L. “Bucky” Jr, of Winthrop, passed away suddenly on June 26, 2018. He was 71 years old. Beloved husband of Diane M. (Jeffery) Donohue. Devoted father of John L. Donohue III and his wife Carla of Tewksbury and the late Jeffery P. Donohue. Adored grandfather of Brayden and Michaela Donohue. Dear brother of Francis Donohue of Sarasota, FL and the late Kevin Donohue. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Bucky was a U.S. Army Veteran serving during the Vietnam War from 1966-1969. He was a lifelong member of the Winthrop Golf Club and recently had the Club Championship trophy named after him after winning an unprecedented 20 titles. Funeral from the Maurice W. Kirby Funeral Home 210 Winthrop St. WINTHROP, on Monday, July 2, at 10:30am. A Funeral Mass will follow in St. John the Evangelist Church-Winthrop, at 11:30am. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett. Visiting hours will be held in the funeral home on Sunday, from 3-8pm.
