Victor Chartier passed away on June 18, 2018 on his 74th birthday surrounded by his loving wife and children following a long struggle with cardiovascular disease. Vic was a devoted husband, father of three, grandfather of eight, and friend to all that knew him. His greatest enjoyment in life was bringing joy to those around him. Family and close friends called him “Sonny” which described him perfectly. He had an infectious positivity that shined through in his flashy mustache smile and the rubbing of his hands with excitement. He will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him.
Born in Billerica, MA, Vic was the youngest son of eleven children to Victor and Jeannette M. (Poirier) Chartier. He is survived by his loving wife Carol, son James, wife Christine and children Troy and Jaime; son Steven, wife Christie and children Max, Stevie, Chris, Tori and Theo; son Rick Chartier, wife Leslie, and son Sean; sister Rose (Chartier) Caisse.
He loved his family, family and more family, attending any activity involving his grandchildren as well as cooking and playing softball.
Following cremation, a Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Saturday June 30, 2018 at 10:30am at St. Mark’s Church in Londonderry NH followed by a reception. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association, Founders Affiliate, PO Box 417005, Boston, MA 02241-7005.
