Charles J. Lenhart III, a life-long resident of Canton, died peacefully June 14, 2018 after a brief illness. He was 76 Years old. Charles was a graduate of Canton High School class of 1961 and was a proud veteran serving in the U.S. Army. He was a retired employee of the Town of Canton DPW Water Department for many years until retiring in 2008. He was a member of the Canton Town Club, the American Legion Post #24, and a devoted parishioner of St. John the Evangelist Church in Canton. He enjoyed golf, camping with his family, and the beach. Son of the late Charles and Frances Lenhart. Devoted husband of Mary Ann Lenhart (Fama). Loving father of Charles J.” Chuck” Lenhart IV and his wife Meredith of Canton, Frank A. Lenhart and his partner Skyy Harvey of Canton. Brother of Mary Ann McKenna of Canton, Mark Lenhart of N. Billerica, William Lenhart of Fl., Christopher Lenhart of R.I., John Lenhart of Hingham, Margaret Surran of Canton, Peter Lenhart of Natick, Matthew Lenhart of Norton, and James Lenhart of Webster. Brother-in-law of Francine Barucci of Canton. Proud grandfather of Arianna Lenhart of Canton, Mark Wedge of Wakefield, Paul Wedge of Canton, and Autumn Ivory of N. Attleboro. Proud great-grandfather of Landen Ivory and Alyanna Brown. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Funeral services were private. Interment National Cemetery Bourne.
