Anita A. (Balestracci) Belliveau, 84, of Fairhaven died June 20, 2018 peacefully at home surrounded by her family.
She was the wife of the late George H. Belliveau.
Born in New Bedford, the daughter of the late Louis and Elvira (Baldini) Balestracci, she lived in New Bedford before moving to Fairhaven in 2002.
Mrs. Belliveau was a communicant of St. Francis of Assisi Church where she directed the choir and was a member of the Ladies League. She was awarded the Marian Medal from the Dioceses of Fall River for her many years of service to her parish.
She was formerly employed as a secretary at St. Mary's Home, St. James - St. John's School, St. Francis of Assisi Church and St. George Greek Orthodox Church.
Survivors include her daughter, Ann M. Magalhaes and her husband Alex of Fairhaven; 2 sons, James G. Belliveau and his wife Lucy of Acushnet and Robert A. Belliveau and his wife Lauren of Dartmouth; 6 grandchildren, Kristina Davies, Peter Magalhaes, Amanda Trudeau, Allison Belliveau, Robbie Belliveau and Eric Belliveau; 5 great-grandchildren, Matthew, Jacob, Benjamin, Holly and Jackson; and several nieces and nephews.
She was the sister of the late Davis Balestracci, Louis Henry Balestracci, Mary Johnson, Joseph Balestracci, Baptiste Balestracci and Baptista Balestracci.
Her Funeral will be held on Monday, June 25th at 9 AM from the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford, followed by her Funeral Mass at St. Francis of Assisi Church at 10 AM.
