Jane Morrison Cassell died on June 19, 2018. She was born September 22, 1922 in Stonington, CT. She was predeceased by her husband George E. Cassell Sr., her son George E. Cassell Jr. and her daughter Susan Jane Cassell. She is survived by her daughters Nancy Roderick, Jean Bruno and her husband Paul, Patricia Donohue and her husband Jack, Deborah Contino and her husband Rick, Elizabeth Furey, and daughter-in-law Helen Cassell. She is also survived by 21 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren.
She is a 1941 graduate of Stonington High School. While raising her children she was employed as a manager of the variety store at Mystic Seaport. Jane was an avid reader and golfer who loved the beach and travel. "Lady Jane" had a wonderful sense of humor and was known for her quick wit.
Jane's family will greet relatives and friends at the Dinoto Funeral Home, 17 Pearl Street, Historic downtown Mystic on Monday, June 25, 2018 from 9am to 11:00am. A Funeral Service will follow at 11:00am at the funeral home. Services will conclude with burial in Elm Grove Cemetery.
