Nancy Prince, 75 of Raymond passed away on Saturday June 16, 2018.
Nancy is survived by two sons, Timothy T. Prince and his wife, Lujean, Theodore T. Prince and his wife Kimberley, two daughters, Shelley S. Prince and Stephanie S. Prince. She is also survived by six grandchildren, Krysta, Chaz, Bridget, Ian, Zorin and Jazz, her six great grandchildren and her mother-in-law Leater Prince. She was predeceased by her husband William (Bill) and her great grandson Caden.
Nancy had several jobs over the years but her favorite titles were Mother and Grandmother. Over the years she was able to care for many of her grandchildren when they were young and passed along her exceptional cooking skills to all that were interested. She attended various local craft fairs, loading up her car with her famous pickles, jellies, dilly beans and more! She was an amazing cook and will always be the only one to make the perfect snickerdoodle. She loved making surprise visits with plenty of baked goods in hand for her son, Ted, at work. She was well known there and could easily talk her way past the front desk.
In addition to cooking and canning, she also made and sold several pieces of children’s furniture and many other hand made items. She absolutely loved celebrating holidays by making crafts and other goodies, as well as sending special packages to the troops overseas. She enjoyed having yard sales and negotiating to make a great deal, as well as meeting new people along the way. She loved vacationing in Bermuda with friends and family, making several trips over the years which resulted in lifelong friendships.
As her Alzheimer’s progressed, we were very fortunate to find TLC Adult Daycare in Concord and Senior Class in Hampstead to help care for her during the day the last few years. We would like to thank the wonderful staff at TLC, Senior Class, and Aurora Senior Living in Derry, where Nancy spent the last few months of her life.
Nancy had the prettiest blue eyes that continued to shine bright even at the end of her life. She still had some good days near the end; she would give us a smile or giggle or a silly face, and even though she didn’t say much, she responded to our, “I love you” with “love you more”
A private Graveside service will be held for her immediate family. In lieu of flowers, donations in Nancy’s memory may be made to Alzheimer’s Association, 166 S. River Road #210, Bedford, NH 03110.
