NEW BEDFORD — Joan E. (Nottage) Ferreira, age 80 years, of New Bedford, died Tuesday, June 5, 2018, at The Oaks Nursing Home. She was the wife of Robert J. Ferreira.
Born in New Bedford, she was the daughter of the late Dorothy Nottage and raised by her grandmother Gladys Nottage and was a resident of New Bedford all her life.
Joan loved her family and friends, liked reading and all kinds of crafts.
She is survived by her husband Robert; her son Robert J. Ferreira, Jr., and his wife Doris, and their three sons James, Michael and Jacob; her son Scott D. Ferreira and his wife Tammy, and their son Derek S. Ferreira; and a great grandson Derek Joseph Ferreira.
Her funeral Mass will take place on Friday, June 15, at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of Guadalupe at St. James Church, followed by burial in Peckham West Cemetery.
