Miguel T. DeBarros (81) of Brockton died June 16th in the Brockton Health Care Center. He was the husband of Maria Libania DeSilva.
He was born in Sao Lourenco, Fogo, Cabo Verde son of the late Mario DeBarros and Maria (Gomes) Timas. Miguel was past Director of the Agricultural Department of the Angola Government and a former Police Officer in Cape Verde. He loved to dance, listen to music, socialize and give advise to family and friends.
In addition to his wife he is survived by 3 sons, Kyky and Zepedro both of Brockton, Djoni of Ayer, 3 daughters, Mena and Sissi both of Brockton and Milu of Brockton, 6 brothers, Irmitao and Djedje both of Cabo Verde, Kau and Eduardo both of Boston, Toti of Brockton and Candido of France, 6 sisters, Nhanha and Loisa both of Brockton, Guta and Maria of Cabo Verde, Mamazinha of Portugal and Nununa of France, many grand and great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews including Zezito of Brockton.
Funeral Services from the Home of Funerarias Multi Culturel 238 Court Street Brockton Saturday June 23rd at 8 am. Followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Edith Stein Church at 9 am. Burial to follow in Melrose Cemetery. Visitation in the Funeral Home Friday June 22nd from 6-9 pm.
