Obituary

Mary Elizabeth Romano (Langdon) passed away peacefully at the Winchester Nursing Center. She was 90. Born and raised in Portsmouth New Hampshire, she was the daughter of the late George and Alice (Mullen) Langdon. After her marriage to Alexander in 1952, the couple settled in Somerville. Mary was a devoted mother, wife and friend. For 50 years, she worked part-time as a cashier with Star Market at the Porter Square store. There she enjoyed many friendships among her fellow workers and customers.

The beloved wife of the late Alexander J. Romano, she was a devoted mother to Nina Maria Romano of Somerville and Michael A. Romano and his wife Kristin of San Clemente, CA. She was a loving grandmother to Alexa, Elysha and Jillia Romano. The dear sister of the late Barbara Dufton and David Langdon, Mary is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to visit at the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, Wednesday June 20th from 8:30 to 10:30 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Mary Church, 155 Washington St., Winchester at 11 AM. Services will conclude with burial at Riverside Cemetery, Newmarket, NH.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be sent in Mary's name to the “Mexicali Project” c/o Franciscan Missions, 940 N. Browns Lake Dr., Burlington, WI 53105.
