John “Jack” Francis Edwards, of Randolph, born January 17, 1950, entered into eternal rest Wednesday, June 13th, at Care One Nursing Home, in Weymouth.
Jack lived in Abington in his earlier years and worked as a mechanic at Bonded Transmission as well as Libby Owens Ford and Pilkington Auto Glass until he retired.
Jack was an avid fan of rock and roll and a dedicated New England sports fan, especially the Patriots and the Red Sox. He also enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
Jack was predeceased by his father, Francis B. Edwards; mother, Miriam A. Edwards; his sister, Margaret “Peggy” Thomas, and his stepson Christopher O’Brien. He is survived by his daughter, Lisa Edwards of Westfield; his loving partner, Donna O’Brien of Randolph; stepdaughter and granddaughter, Linette Reed and Amariah Amarantes; and several close relatives from the Clawson, Hines, and Bent families.
Calling hours for his family and friends will be held on Monday, June 18, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Plymouth St. (Rte. 58 at the rotary circle) Whitman. In lieu of flowers please send any desired donations to Spaulding Rehabilitation Network of Boston.
