Marilyn A. (Chetwynd) age 82 of Lakeville formerly of Taunton and Brockton died Thursday June 14, 2018 at the Pat Roche Hospice House in Hingham surrounded by her family after a brief illness. She was the devoted wife of Douglas P. Halley for 62 years.
Marilyn was born and raised in Chelsea a daughter of the late Mort and Stella (Gaudet) Chetwynd. She had been a housekeeper at St. Joseph Manor for over 15 years. Her greatest love in life was being a great wife, mother and doting grandmother.
Marilyn will be remembered as a quiet woman who wanted to take care of everyone. She always had a camera with her and took photos of everyone and everything.
Marilyn was the mother of Lori-Ann Hippert and her husband Martin of Douglas, MA and the late Debra Carey and Dennis Halley and grandmother of Chloe and Fallyn Hippert and Gabrielle Carey. She was the sister of Christine Bento of Wilmington, MA, Linda Quinn and Carol Bryant both of New Hampshire and the late Lorraine Botta.
Visiting hours will be held in the Conley Funeral Home 138 Belmont Street (rte. 123) Brockton on Monday June 18 from 4-8pm. The procession will gather at the funeral home on Tuesday at 9am for a 10am Funeral Mass at Christ the King Church.
