Yvonne P. (Denault) Melancon, 74, of New Bedford passed away peacefully at home on Sunday June 3, 2018 surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late Richard E. Melancon.
Born in New Bedford, the daughter of the late David and Anita (Gauthier) Denault, she lived in New Bedford all of her life.
Yvonne enjoyed traveling to casinos and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her siblings, Bernice Sinagra of New Bedford, Lorraine M. Mullaly and her husband Albert of Florida, and Paul C. Denault of Florida; and many nieces and nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews.
She was the sister of the late Donald D. Denault, and sister-in-law of the late Guy J. Sinagra, Sr.
Her Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Saturday July 21, 2018 at 10 AM at St. Francis Xavier Church, Acushnet. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery. Visiting hours are omitted.
