Thomas J. DeChane of Halifax, passed away peacefully at his home on June 12, 2018 after a lengthy battle with Agent Orange lung cancer. He was 67 years old. He worked hard, all his childhood, at the Imhoff Farm in Bridgewater. A US Army Veteran who served during the Vietnam War from 1969-1971 in the 13th Alpha 10 Field Artillery Unit. Thomas received the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal with 60 Device, Army Commendation Medal, Bronze Star Medal, Sharpshooter Badge as well as the Expert Badge. He was the son of the late Arthur J. & Joyce (Eastwood) DeChane. Cherished father of Adam DeChane & wife Katie, Andy DeChane, and of Michael Brennan & wife Barbara. Loving brother of Robin Sherman, Sharon Libby & husband Jonathan, and of the late Arthur DeChane. Beloved grandfather to Anthony and Liam. He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews as well as great nieces and great nephews. Visiting hours will be held at the Pushard Family Funeral Home, 210 Sherman St., Canton, on Saturday, June 16th, from 9-11 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Funeral Service to follow at 11 AM. Interment at Blue Hill Cemetery, 700 West St., Braintree, MA.
