Leona G. Brook, 91, of Hudson, NH passed away on Monday, June 11, 2018 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Middlesex, VT on June 7, 1927, a daughter of Delmar and Eschol (Sargent) Story. Leona was formerly employed by the Hudson School District and Lemon Tree Cafeteria. She was a longtime member, trustee and volunteer at the food panty of First Baptist Church in Hudson. She was the former president of Be A Friend to All (BAFTA), the Hudson Women’s Club, the VFW Women’s Auxiliary and an active member of the Senior Center.
She is survived by two daughters, Crystal Hahn and Melody Gathercole and husband Clark; two sons, Stephen Brook and wife Kaye and Mark Brook and wife Sharon; eleven grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; two sisters, Elsie Ladue and Pearl Belanger as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A calling hour was held on Saturday, June 16, 2018 from 2:00pm to 3:00pm in the Orchard Christian Fellowship, 136 Pillsbury Rd., Londonderry, NH. Funeral services began at 3:00pm in the church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the First Baptist Church, 236 Central Street, Hudson, NH 03051.
