Barbara C. (Bowler) Rogers, age 75, a lifelong resident of Winchester, passed away on June 11, 2018, lovingly surrounded by her family.
Born in Winchester, she was the daughter of the late Edward F. “Connie” and Eva (Rosenberg) Bowler. She was raised and educated in Winchester, and was a graduate of Winchester High School.
Barbara worked at Winchester Savings Bank in Winchester for over 30 years, where she forged many lasting friendships. Known for her friendly personality, Barbara had a lot of friends and generally just loved being with people. She enjoyed going on “adventures” for fun, but could also be relied upon for a meal or a visit with a sick friend. She mostly enjoyed her family and spending time with and visiting her family, especially spoiling her grandchildren.
She leaves behind her children: Gary Rogers of Waltham and Deborah Ann Bardell and her husband Roderick of Townsend. She was the dear sister of Edward F. Bowler, Jr. and his wife Ann of DE, the devoted grandmother of Kayla Marie and Jennifer Rose Bardell, and the cherished aunt of Mark, Steven and Christopher Bowler.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to gather at the Costello Funeral Home, 177 Washington St., Winchester, on Saturday, June 16, at 9AM, followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Mary’s Church, 155 Washington St., Winchester at 11AM. Burial will follow in Wildwood Cemetery, Winchester.
