Obituary

Jun Alfredo Altoveros Baldoz ll, of Groton-Mystic slipped away with the rise of the sun on Sunday, June 3, 2018. He was born September 19, 1937 in Malabon, Philippines, to Alfredo Gongon Baldoz l and Leonila Altoveros Baldoz. He attended Far Eastern University in Manila, Philippines where he studied accounting and business administration. He was a retired Vietnam Veteran with over 20 years of service as a proud sailor in the United States Navy.

He is survived by his 8 children Alfredo & Cherie Baldoz, Michael Baldoz, Leilani & Tim Huff, Kimberly Weber, Matthew Baldoz, Jun Eric & Jennifer Baldoz, Jenny Baldoz, Brian Baldoz; his siblings Irma Bunag, Nimerita Zerrudo, Leonila Bernardo, Leonilo Baldoz, Josie Buenaventura, his 21 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and all of his beloved extended family and friends. He is preceded by his parents.

Jun selflessly spent his life devoted to helping those in need. He was a proud long time sponsor of Children International, contributor to Operation Smile and countless others. His generosity and dedication to helping others was recognized by all. Jun believed it was always better to be the one to give than to receive and that showing genuine love to all was the most important thing we could do in life.

His family will have services on Saturday, June 16, 2018 beginning with a viewing from 8-10am at The Dinoto Funeral Home, 17 Pearl Street, Mystic, CT. Followed by an 11am church service to be held at St. Mary’s Church, Groton. Burial to immediately follow at Elm Grove cemetery.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made in support of Jun’s favorite charity Children International by calling The Navy Federal Credit Union and donate to the “Lolo Jun’s Children Memorial Fund”.
