Frank F. "Chris" Krystyn, a longtime Charlestown resident and formerly of Chicago, Illinois, entered into eternal life on Saturday, June 2, 2018 at the Everett Rehabilitation and Nursing Center. He was 88 years of age.
Chris was born in Chicago, Illinois on August 30, 1929, a son of the late Paul J. Krystyn and Verna L. (Kucek) Krystyn. He grew up in Chicago where he was educated. Chris enlisted into the United States Navy on June 1, 1948 and served his country with pride and honor during the Korean Conflict. He was stationed at the Charlestown Naval Shipyard, where he met and married his wife Ruth. He was honorably discharged on May 28, 1952 with the rank of Seaman Apprentice. Following his military service, Chris worked in shipping and receiving for the H.P. Hoods Milk Company in Charlestown for 39 years.
Chris is the beloved husband of the late Ruth A. (Sheehan) Krystyn. He is the devoted father of Frankie Krystyn, Danny Krystyn and the late Richie Krystyn. He is the loving grandfather of Danielle and Michael Krystyn. He is the beloved brother of Richie krystyn, Walter Krystyn, and the late Paul Krystyn and Florence Krystyn. He is the loving uncle of Ashley Febbi.
Chris's Funeral Services were held privately.
