
Jean Claude Maurice Pierre of West Roxbury passed away on May 20, 2018.
Jean Claude Maurice Pierre was born in Cap-Haitien on February 1, 1960. He went to elementary and middle school at Laurent School. From 6th grade til 11th grade he went to Lycee Phillip-Guerrier. He did 12th grade at the College of Saint- Martial. From there he went to engineering school at Leconte in Haiti. He grew up with 2 brothers and 2 sisters, and was the youngest of them all. He loved to ride his bicycle and he loved to study as a kid. He came to America in 1986 and attended Bunker Hill Community College where he received a degree in Ophthalmic Technician. He then went on to get married with his lovely wife Josette Louis on September 7, 1991. Together they had 2 children, Garreau,(his son) and Morisha (his Daughter) Pierre. While married, he attended Peterson School for his degree in HVAC and electric technician. He also gained a certificate as a Pharmacy technician from Roxbury Community College. Not only was he focused on education, but his spiritual duties as well. He became Superintendent of Sunday School and was a deacon as well as a preacher at Missionary Church of the Haitian Community. He always gave those around him great advice and he was not afraid to talk about God wherever he went. He was a father, a brother, a husband, an uncle, and so much more. May he forever rest in peace and his loving memory live on.
The family will receive visitors at the Joseph Russo Funeral Home, 814 American Legion Highway, Roslindale on Friday June 8th from 7 to 9 pm. A funeral service will be held at the Haitian Missionary Church, 100 Temple Street, Somerville on Saturday, June 9th at 10 am. Interment will be at Oak Lawn Cemetery, Roslindale.
