Leone (Godbout) Vigue Clark
Manchester– Leone (Godbout) Vigue Clark, 92, died June 2, 2018 at Birch Hill Terrace following a brief illness.
She was born in Augusta, ME., on July 8, 1925 the daughter of John Edward and Marie Anne (Labbe) Godbout.
After graduating from Cony High School she was employed as a statistician for the State of Maine.
Mom’s faith and love of music was reinforced as a young woman when she became a member of the “Daughters of Isabella”, singing soprano in their choir.
In 1945 she married Raymond Vigue II. Soon after they started their family.
Her optimism, sense of humor and easy smile were some of her gifts. These characteristics surely carried her after his death and certainly into her life with her second husband, Frank Clark. He and his sons completed this family. The gatherings that brought us together were one of her joys. The love we’ve all shared would be the blessing she deserved.
We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to Birch Hill Terrace. The love, care and support you gave our mom and family has made all of our lives richer.
Family members include three daughters, Judith Kirk of Hampden, ME., Karen Peterson, Cheryl Vigue, both of Hooksett, three stepsons, John Clark of Brookline, MA., Frank J. Clark Jr., of Newport, William Clark of Derry, ten grandchildren, Matthew, Heather, Jason, Jenness, Jacob, Sam, Angel, Seth, Cory, Tresa, several great grandchildren.
She was predeceased by one son, Raymond F. Vigue III, one daughter, Gail Vigue, and one brother, Roger Edward Godbout.
As requested by the family funeral services will be private.
