Stanley F. Bedell, Jr., PhD, age 87, of Andover, retired polymer chemist for Polaroid Corporation., and longtime communicant and supporter of St. Robert Bellarmine Church, passed away June 6, 2018. Beloved husband of the late Jeanne M. (Donahue) Bedell. Father of Mark Bedell and his partner Val Slavin, Christopher Bedell and his wife Julia, Brian Bedell and his wife Beth, and Andrew Bedell and his wife Emily.
Grandfather of Jonathan, Emily, Alexandria, Christopher, Meredith, Naomi, Whitney, Duncan, and Paige Bedell.
Family and friends are invited to the Rite of Reception of Stan’s body on Friday, June 8, at 5: 30 p.m., at St. Robert Bellarmine Church, 198 Haggetts Pond Road, Andover, to be followed by calling hours from 6-8 p.m. at the church. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, June 9, at 11 a.m., at St. Robert’s Church. Interment will follow at Spring Grove Cemetery, Andover.
